Practical Police Combat indoors.
I recently found that the Michigan Police Combat Pistol Association (MPCPA) in the early '90's started allowing civilians to compete in their indoor matches.
I hadn't shot PPC since my Security officer days with Sanford Security back in the '70's.
Using my 6" S&W model 66-1, I've been able to shoot a high of 598 (600) in the indoor 2012 season, finishing 5th in the MPCPA State indoor championships!
I've picked up a true PPC gun this fall, built on an old S&W model 10-5, with a Bomar rib, a bull barrel, and an aristocrat barrel weight. I've slicked up the action and it now has a sweet 6 3/4# double Action trigger pull.

Will be shooting on the Howell Trap League also this winter! BRRRRRRR... going to get out the ol '63 Browning Broadway Trap and use some 1 oz loads ...

My Belgium .442 Webley British Bulldog!
This is my latest project. I hate having something that just doesn't run!
I'm intent on shooting this!
First problem, making ammunition.
Cylinder chambers are .470, so I found some .45 Special (.45 Cowboy) that I trim to .700 length.
The rim needs to be thinned about .010 from the bullet side to allow clearance.
I found they can be deprimed and resized using a .45 ACP die.
Bullets are custom made using a .436 swaging die.
I made custom hollow base and bullet nose punches to squeeze down Magtech 158 gr hbrn soft lead bullets.
seating bullet on .7cc (10gr?) FFG black powder using a .45 acp seating die.
had to make a custom roll crimp die.
Voila!!
This is it! a 158 gr, HBRN bullet!
Now, to see how it shoots!!

I've found some 180 gr .38/40 swaged rn bullets that I've been able to re-swage to .436. Also, the .700 oal apparently was for the original heel based bullet. I've since trimmed to .800 for the inside lubed bullets currently being used.
They worked well! I'm inclined to try the full length .45 Cowboy hulls sized down to get about 15 gr's of Holy Black.. closer to the originals...
